Hetauda Cement Industries Limited has hiked cement price by Rs 28.25 per sack.
A meeting of the Hetauda Cement board on Tuesday decided to raise the price effective from Wednesday.
With the latest revision, Hetauda cement will cost Rs 684.78 per 50-kg pack for dealers, while development projects have to pay Rs 696.08 per sack. The retail price has been fixed at Rs 718 per sack, but it will cost Rs 840 in Kathmandu, according to the company. Hetauda Cement, a government undertaking, had hiked the price by Rs 50 per sack six months ago. The company attributed the latest price revision to increased raw material prices.
