Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Bhim Prasad Acharya , has said that the government was planning to make air service more effective for the promotion of tourism.
Speaking at a programme organised in the Capital City on Saturday, Minister Acharya said a work plan was being prepared for the development of air service to boost tourism.
According to him, the government has been aiming to buy 19 aircrafts by 2019 and a commercial plan would be mulled within a month on ways of implementing the plan.
Two small aircrafts of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) , left grounded for a decade, would be repaired and brought into operation in coming four months, he added.
"An aircraft engine has been taken in rent for domestic flights, and a big and small aircraft would be brought from China within a month," he said, adding that e-ticketing would be made mandatory to make flights more convenient, respected and managed.
