All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has increased the prize money of the National League Football Tournament to Rs 10 million.
The board meeting of the apex body of the football has decided to increase the prize by Rs 2.5 million from Rs 7.5 million, ANFA officials said during a press meet Thursday.
As per the decision, the national league will be held under home and away basis including six teams from the capital and six teams from outside associated with ANFA.
Of the total 12 teams, the participants include top eight A Division clubs and four teams from the district. The four teams will be selected from the districts Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kaski, Rupandehi, Kailali, Parsa, Makwanpur and Banke.
“Initially, ANFA has already held meeting with the clubs based in the capital. However, ANFA will hold further discussions with the clubs form the different districts to give final touch to the decision of organising the national league.” according to ANFA.
