Finance Minister Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat has urged the donor agencies to support in the economic development of Nepal, as per the country's need.
Addressing the 13th annual Nepal Portfolio Performance Review (NPPR) meeting in Kathmandu on Wednesday, FM Mahat also urged the donor agencies to bring massive investments in infrastructure sector.
Assuring a security and investment-friendly environment, Mahat asked them to bring huge investments in the potential sectors for the economic revolution.
Expressing commitment to support Nepal, World Bank Country Director Johannes Zutt opined that the country should focus on the development of infrastructure and hydropower for economic change.
ADB Country Director Kenichi Yokoyama said the country’s development expenditure capacity is one of the issues in development sector. He further urged the government to come up with spending capacity.
