Finance Minister Dr. Ramsharan Mahat has said that government was committed to making environment for investment for economic development.
Inaugurating an auditorium of the FNCCI completed recently; he said the government was committed to resolving power crisis, preparing policy framework and increasing investment in infrastructure.
Dr. Mahat also said allowing issuance of bonds to international banks in local currencies will help in facing the challenges of international currency and minimize risk for local financial institutions in investment for long term.
FNCCI Senior Vice Chairman Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar said the private sector faced problems for the past two decades due to political and economic challenges and this will be resolved in the days ahead.
Present at the programme were FNCCI Chairman Suraj Vaidya and other senior industrialists.
Meanwhile, at a programme organised by Society of Economic Journalists of Nepal (SEJON) today, candidate duo for chairman of the FNCCI in the upcoming election, Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar and Pradip Jung Pandey said sustainable development was possible through open and liberal policies.
