Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has expanded his cabinet by incorporating fringe political parties Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and CPN (ML) in the government Monday.
Sunil Thapa, son of RPP Chair and former prime minister Surya Bahadur Thapa, was sworn in as Minister for Supplies while Nilam KC, wife of CPN (ML) general secretary CP Mainali, was sworn in as Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare amidst a ceremony organised at Shital Niwas, the Office of the President.
PM Koirala administered the oath of office and secrecy on the two ministers in the presence of President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Vice President, Speaker, Ministers, leaders of various political parties and other dignitaries
