The government has decided to give retirement to suspended Managing Director (MD) of Nepal Electricity Authority ( NEA ) Rameshwor Yadav . He was suspended earlier on charges of corruption.
A Cabinet meeting on Thursday took the decision to this effect. The Commission of Investigation for Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a charge-sheet at the special court against Yadav for his alleged involvement in the purchase substandard transformers for NEA .
NEA Joint- secretary Arjun Kumar Karki has been appointed as the acting MD until new appointment.
An official at the Ministry of Energy informed that Energy Minister Radha Gyawali, at today's meeting, proposed giving retirement to Yadav from the post of NEA MD in order to appoint another official in the post.
