Ram Krishna Tripathi, a young Nepali colourist, has made it big in the UK, by joining Filmlight—a world-renowned company in the area of post production.
Popularly known as Samaveda, Tripathi has joined FilmLight as a Product Specialist-Colourist.
Formerly a freelancer in the film and TV post-production industry in the UK, Samaveda will work with FilmLight clients, assisting them with training as well as implementing workflows to take advantage of the unique collaborative potential of FilmLight’s colour grading and colour management technologies.
“Rather unusually for a manufacturer, many of us at FilmLight have a post-production background so we set great store in people with strong real-world experience,” said Steve Chapman, director of FilmLight. “We are very pleased to have Ram Tripathi Samaveda join us as a Product Specialist. His creative experience as a freelance colourist greatly impressed us and we are sure he will help FilmLight's customers, especially those in South Asia, appreciate the artistic capabilities of our products.”
It’s been a long but rewarding journey for Samaveda, who grew up in Malekhu – a town in Dhading distric—well-known for fish from local Trishuli river and fresh produce of fruits and vegetables.
