2:08 AM

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhim Acharya has urged the Joint Tourism Coordination Committee (JTCC) to withdraw its protest programs targeted against Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).

Issuing a press statement on Sunday, Minister Acharya said a task force has been constituted to study all grievances raised by the JTCC and other stakeholders.
“The task force will include experts and private sector representatives, too,” the Minister said.
“I request JTCC and all concerned to stop protests and extend cooperation to the investigations to be carried out by the task force,” the Minister added.
Meanwhile, the JTCC continued with its protest programs organizing a rally in Kathmandu in the afternoon.
The rally was held demanding resignation of NTB’s acting CEO, Subash Nirola and end of alleged irregularities and corruption inside the NTB, according to the rally organizers.
