The special security committee of the Legislature Parliament on Wednesday endorsed the decision to mobilise Nepal Army during the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections. The endorsed decision will be tabled in the House as either a bill or a report.
The UCPN (Maoist), which has been claiming of vote rigging and irregularities during the CA elections, did not oppose while the House endorsed the decision of Army mobilisation. UCPN (Maoist) CA member Janardan Sharma said that his party did not express any dissent as his party was also involved in the decision of Army mobilisation.
"The decision was made with our consent," he said, "As we have already reached an understanding to form a separate committee that will investigate the vote rigging, we will discuss about vote rigging there in the committee itself."
Rastriya Janamorcha lawmaker Durga Poudel, however, expressed note of dissent regarding the decision.
