Human Rights activist Krishna Pahadi has started fast-unto-death at Shanti Batika in Ratnapark on Monday demanding to ratify the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
Pahadi said he was compelled to stage strike as the government failed to implement the direction given by the House of Representatives to ratify the Rome Statute following the People's movement in 2006.
"The International Criminal Court can take action against those who are involved in war crime, crime against humanity and crime of aggression, if the nation fails to take action in national level," Pahadi said.
Pahadi has been staging strike along with other rights activists in the Capital.
