Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased by 8.38 points to settle at 783.86 points on Thursday from Sunday’s 775.48 points, last week.
The secondary market has gained 6.84 points after three week‘s continuous fall, the previous week.
Over a week, all the sub-indices of the stock market witnessed positive as hotel group gained the highest 119.62 points, followed by insurance group's 88.91 points and hydropower sector's 75.52 points.
Likewise, development banks gained 6.33 points, finance 3.49 points, trading 3.13 points, other 2.35 points, commercial banks 0.91 points and manufacturing group 0.29 points.
Similarly, the transaction amount has also increased by 24.90 percent last week compared to previous week. The benchmark registered Rs 1.37 billion as compared to Rs 908.9 million, the previous week.
A category companies contributed Rs 727.6 million which is 52.84 percent of the total transaction amount.
Nepal Life Insurance Company stood at the top registering Rs 193.739 million in terms of highest transaction.
