The counting of the endangered species of wild buffalo has completed in the Koshitappu Wildlife Reserve.
As per the count, there are 327 buffalos in the Reserve now. Before three years, there were only 259, according to the record made public here yesterday.
Conservation Officer at the Reserve, Gangaram Adhikari, said the wild buffalos were growing despite the encroachment upon the Reserve and shrinking grazing lands. These are endangered also because the farmers nearby the Reserve illegally crossbreed the domestic buffalos with the wild ones.
