Police at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu have arrested an air hostess with 19 tola of gold Wednesday night.
The air hostess with Air Arabia has been identified as Subhekchya Regmi. She had arrived from Sharjah of the United Arab Emirates on a regular Air Arabia flight to Kathmandu.
Regmi, who hails from Ilam, was held at around 11 pm last night during a routine checking by the customs at the airport, airport police said.
Apart from the 19 told of gold, police also found 230 gms of gold earrings from her luggage.
She is currently kept in police custody for interrogation.
