The Biratnagar Sub-metropolis has started construction of 100 houses for poor and backward people with the financial support from Lumanti Housing Services and NIC Bank.
A sum of six million rupees was deposited in the bank after the lands possessed by the families of the backward community was not sufficient for the project at Biratnagar Sub-metropolis-18, said Punam Dahal, an officer at the Sub-metropolis.
It is learnt that the bank has invested the amount of money at seven percent per annum interest rate for the construction of three-room house.
