Wildfire in different national and community forests in Dang district is yet to come under control.
As a result, hundreds of hectares of forest land have been destroyed while precious herbs and wildlife gutted.
Forests in Fulbari, Goltakuri and Satbariya VDCs of the district are caught in wildfire.
However, the concerned bodies and the community forest officials have not shown much concerned in putting out the fire, said Resmi Bhattarai, a local of Fulbari-3.
The District Forest Office, Dang however claims that efforts are on to control the wildlife. Fire in many forests and heavy blowing winds is making it difficult though, the officials said.
So far 600 hectares of forest area is already reported to have been gutted in the wildfire while one forest user was killed, the Office said.
