More than 1,200 people underwent medical examination at the free health camp organized by the Araniko Society and Sahakari Samaj Bungmati on Monday.
At the free health camp held at Bungmati, treatment was available for skin and sexual disease, orthopaedic, cardiology, gastrology and liver, neuro, paediatric, ENT, gynaecology, diabetes and dental diseases.
More than 40 doctors with a medical team under the Araniko Society had provided service at the camp, according to Vice-chair of the Society Manoj Man Shrestha.
Even liver examination, ultrasound and ECG service were provided free of cost at the camp, Shrestha said.
Earlier, inaugurating the camp, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai described Araniko as a bright star in the history of China-Nepal relations.
Chairperson of the Society Dr Sarbottam Shrestha said the Society has been organizing free health camps in various parts of the country since 2007.
Medicines were also distributed free of cost at the camp.
