The government has decided to provide loan assistance of Rs 2.5 billion to Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) in order to ease the supply of petroleum products.
The cabinet meeting on Friday decided to provide loan assistance to the cash-strapped state oil monopoly from Employees Provident Fund and Citizen Investment Trust under the government’s guarantee, informed Minister for Communication and Information and government’s spokesperson Minendra Rijal.
Likewise, the government will also provide Rs 500,000 each to the Nepali cricket players, coach and management for their magnificent performance in the ICC World T20 held in Bangladesh recently.
The meeting also decided to provide assistance of Rs 2 million to the Federation of Nepalese Journalist for its 24th Convention (FNJ).
Similarly, the government has also decided to provide Rs 1 million to the parliamentarians from Parliamentarian’s Development Trust.
