Top-notch leaders of the UCPN (Maoist) and Madhesi parties held a meeting at Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s residence in Maharajgunj on Saturday afternoon.
Held at the initiation of UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Dahal, the meeting, underlined the need to form a strategic alliance among the like-liked parties to ensure federalism with identity in the changed political scenario.
“All the leaders present in the meeting underlined the need to form an alliance among the like-minded parties in favor of federalism with identity,” said Chairman of Tarai Madhesh Loktantrik Party Mahantha Thakur.
According to a source privy to the meeting, Chairman of Federal Socialist Party, Nepal Ashok Rai, Chairman of Madhesi People’s Rights Forum (Democratic) Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar, Chairman of Madhesi People’s Rights Forum, Nepal Upendra Yadav were present in the meeting.
Similarly, participated in the meeting were Chairman of Nepal Sadbhawana Party Rajendra Mahato, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, senior leader Baburam Bhattarai and leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha were present in the meeting.
The leaders said they will step up their talks in the days ahead to further consolidate their plan.
