Cricket Association Nepal (CAN) has extended the contract of National Cricket coach Pubudu Dassanayake by three months.
The cricket governing body has renewed the contract by just three months before flying to Malaysia for ACC Men’s Premier League on Tuesday.
As CAN is under scanner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), the tenure is extended only for three months though CAN had decided to extend the coach Dassanayake's contract for a year, according to CAN.
CAN is under investigation after National Cricket team decided to boycott the One-Day National cricket demanding new management among others.
Under Dassanayake coaching, Nepal had qualified to the ICC World T20 held in Bangladesh, improved to Division 4 from Division 2 and advanced to 50-over World Cup Qualifier in New Zealand.
