Nepal is set to participate in the World Team Table Tennis Championship going to be held in Japan from April 28 to May 5.
A nine-member Nepali team, including six players is scheduled to leave for Japan to participate in the Championship on Saturday.
The players include Shiva Sundar Gothe, Purushottam Bajracharya and Ajay Suwal in the men’s category while women’s team comprises Nabita Shrestha, Alina Maharjan and Ritamaiya Prajapati.
Similarly, Nepal Table Tennis Association’s general secretary Kubesh Prakash Singh and member Rajendra Bahadur Dulal are also with the team as team managers.
Likewise, international referee Shankar Gautam will be present as referee during the tournament.
Meanwhile, National Sports Council (NSC) also bade farewell to the team amidst a function in the capital on Wednesday.
