The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has urged the Adhikari couple to end their six-month long hunger strike and wait for the court verdict on the war-time murder case of their son, Krishna Prasad.
Organizing a press meet at NHRC office on Tuesday, the national rights body also drew the attention of the government to properly implement the commitments made with the Adhikari couple.
“The court procedure has already begun. Adhikari couple can get justice only when they save their lives,” said Bed Bhattarai, NHRC’s acting secretary.
“We are closely observing the developments in regard to the murder case. The latest investigations, too, are under our monitoring,” Bhattarai said.
