Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has expressed commitment to deliver the much-awaited democratic constitution to the people within a year, adding that the people will drive away nefarious elements that are against timely constitution.

Inaugurating the 12th National Convention of Diploma Engineers Association of Nepal in capital Kathmandu, he reiterated that the first priority of the government is to enact the new constitution and take the peace process to a logical conclusion.
“Apart from that the government is engaged in the task to give the people some semblance of good governance,” the prime minister added.
He further informed about the ongoing discussions to incorporate fringe political parties in the government within a matter of few days.
Saying that it was not the responsibility of the political parties only to build a nation, Koirala said professionals and people from all walks of life and sector should make equal contribution for the same.
“Hence I request Engineers to also play an instrumental role for nation building,” he added.
