UCPN (Maoist) leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has warned that his party would move the International Court of Justice against Prime Minister Sushil Koirala for his involvement in the hijacking of plane if the government does not immediately withdraw cases against party cadres arrested on charge of murdering Krishna Prasad Adhikari of Fujel, Gorkha.
"False cases have been filed against our party cadres in connection with the murder of Gorkha's Krishna Prasad Adhikari ," said Rayamajhi, speaking at a programme in the Capital on Tuesday. "If the cases against our cadres are not withdrawn immediately, we will not spare a single party in the government. We will file cases against all of them."
The former minister warned that his party will register case against PM Koirala for his involvement in hijacking of Nepal Airlines plane in 1973, adding that cases would also be filed against UML leaders for perpetrating murder during the Jhapa revolution.
Also speaking at the same programme, Nepali Congress leader Arjun Narsingh KC opined that the government need not take back the cases against the arrested Maoist cadres fearing warning from the UCPN (Maoist) . If NC wavers on this case, it will be deviated from the principle of democracy and the rule of law, warned KC.
Likewise, CPN-UML leader Bhim Rawal said that UCPN (M) still possessed war-time tendency and further added that the government should strongly retaliate against UCPN (M) and its warnings.
The district attorney office of Chitwan had on Sunday filed charge-sheet against 13 individuals accused in the murder of Adhikari. The charge-sheet lodged at Chitwan District Court has sought life imprisonment with confiscation of entire property for the accused.
UCPN (M) has strongly reacted to the charge-sheet against its cadres, warning of protests over the revival of war-era cases . The party boycotted the meeting of major three parties on Monday.
