Chairperson of Rastriya Janamorcha Chitra Bahadur KC has said that strong public pressure is necessary in order to guarantee the much-awaited new constitution.
KC, who has publicly voiced his reservation against federalism, said that sustained pressure from the people’s level was necessary to enact the constitution on time.
Inaugurating the 19th National Convention of All Nepal National Free Students Union in Pokhara on Friday, he claimed that the results of the second Constituent Assembly have shown that the people of the country have rejected federalism for good.
“So we need to draft the new constitution as per the new mandate of the people,” he said.
