Nepal Business Conclave 2014 jointly organised by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and the government concluded on Monday, closing deals on various investment opportunitues.
During the two-day conclave, FNCCI and China Chamber of Tourism (CCT) have agreed to cooperate in the promotion of tourism industry. The agreement to this effect was signed between FNCCI president Suraj Vaidya and CCT president Wang Ping.
Similarly, Malaysia’s Protasco Development SDN BHD and Nepal’s Himalayan Builders and Engineers Pvt. Ltd agreed upon the infrastructure development while Himalayan Builders and Malaysia’s Engineers Pvt. Ltd assured to cooperate on the development of Engineering Laboratory.
Likewise, Centrino Global and Tibet Gdadang Tourism Development Pvt Ltd signed a letter of intent for the JSB Financial Centre while Ankhu Hydro Power Project and My Investment Group also signed a letter of intent for the same project.
The event was hosted with an aim to showcasing investment opportunities and encouraging local and foreign investment in Nepal, said FNCCI. Around 300 businessmen as well as government officials have participated in the event.
On the occasion, the apex body of business community presented around 53 potential sectors for investment among the participants.
There was a delegation of businessman and investors from Malaysia, China, Britain, India, and Canada during the conclave.
