Giving continuity to the celebration of advertising excellence, preparations for the eighth edition of Crity Awards is in full swing. This year Crity Awards, an annual mega ceremony that honors the local creativity, will take place on June 20.
Advertising Association of Nepal (AAN) has been hosting annual awards ceremony with the objective of enhancing Nepali advertising industry in terms of professionalism, creativity and industrialization of advertising sector. According to AAN, this year it has received 315 nominations from 30 different agencies in 24 different categories.
This year AAN received fewer entries compared to previous years. Last year, AAN received 410 nominations from 40 different agencies in 24 different categories.
Even though AAN opened online registration to make it easier for the agencies to file application for the Crity Awards, very few agencies filed online nomination. Only three companies filed online nomination, according to the AAN official.
AAN tied up with India-based Global Best Awards for online registration for the first time in the event history. Global Best Awards will provide service to AAN for the next three years.
“Though we received few entries this year, online registration will continue in the upcoming editions of the award and we are hopeful that the agencies will be familiar with online system in the days to come,” said Santos Shrestha , general secretary of AAN.
