The Bara police on Tuesday arrested members of a family in Manaharva VDC-2 of Bara for their alleged involvement in the killing of a three-month old infant a week ago.
According to inspector Ramnath Ghimire, Devrani Chaudhary and Anu Chaudhary were arrested for their alleged involvement in the killing of three-month-old Aashu Chaudhary.
Police investigation showed that Aashu was murdered by her own family members as she was born out of an affair between Manju Chaudhary and Siddhartha Chaudhary.
When locals learnt about Manju´s pregnancy they asked Siddhartha to marry her. Manju had been living with him and after some four months gave birth to Aashu Chaudhary. Siddhartha was happy with Manju but his grandmother Devrani and sister Anu were not happy with the decision.
After three months of her birth, they killed the infant on April 7, 2014.
Both of the accused have admitted to the police that they killed the infant.
Likewise, Bara police has revealed another incident related to illicit relationship between Binayak Choudhary and Rita Ram of Madhuri VDC-9, which has eventually led to the murder of Binayak.
Rita´s family members killed Binayak on April 10, 2014, said inspector Dharm Raj Bhandari.
Rita´s family members, including her father Kartal Ram, mother Sharda Devi Ram, and elder brothers Umesh and Suresh have been arrested for their involvement in the murder.
