The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has elected Pradeep Jung Pandey as the new chief of the private sector's umbrella organization.
Pandey accumulated 1055 votes, while his competitor Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar received 878 votes, a win for Pandey by a margin of 177 votes.
"My efforts will focus on taking ahead the private sector united and undivided," Pandey said after the victory.
In the vice-president's posts, Dinesh Shrestha and Kishor Pradhan have won from Pandey's panel, while Shekhar Golchha has won from Rajkarnikar's panel.
From commodities category, 6 have been elected executive committee members from Pandey's panel, while 5 have been elected to the same posts from Rajkarnikar's panel. One common candidate has also won.
